Bob Foster

We have just been informed of the sad loss of Wing Commander Bob Foster, Chairman of the Battle of Britain Fighter Association he was aged 94.

As well as being one of our Battle of Britain pilots, “One of the Few”, he had an Australian connection as Flight Lieutenant with 54 Squadron, which came to Australia as part of No 1 Fighter Wing. He scored the squadron’s first Australian victory on 6 February 1943.
